Front wing

The front wing is the first part of the racing car to cut the wind and it is usually the main source of downforce. With the change that happened in the regulations in 2022, this element lost some significance to provide more slipstreams and fights on track.

Halo

Developed and built by the FIA, its goal is to deflect any external object that might suppose a threat to the head of the driver, which is the most exposed part of the driver’s body. It is a first in Formula 1 and provides an unmatched safety level.

Power-unit

Formula 1 cars are so intricate that using the word ‘engine’ is not enough, hence the term power-unit. Until the regulation changes in 2026, the power unit is comprised of a Mercedes V6 turbo 1.6 litre engine, a system that uses the heat of the exhaust system (MGU-H) and the energy under braking (MGU-K), an engine control unit and a battery.

Tyres

Tyres have used 18-inch rims since the 2022 season and they come in dry, intermediate and rain compounds. Pirelli intends to transfer the Formula 1 technology to the road cars. In Formula 1, tyres use a low-profile and they are notorious for their width and smooth surface, which maximizes the contact patch with the track to channel all the energy of the power unit.

WILLIAMS, TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Atlassian Williams Racing is the second most successful team in Formula 1. Founded by Sir Frank Williams in 1967, it joined Formula 1 two years later and ever since it has clinched six Drivers’ Championships with stars like Keke Rosberg, Nigel Mansell or Alain Prost, and nine Constructors’ titles. The innovation in its engineering and its competitive spirit have made it a legend in the paddock.

IN AN ERA OF EXPANSION

Atlassian Williams Racing builds its very own Formula 1 chassis in its factory, which is placed in Grove, in the United Kingdom. The arrival of Dorilton Capital as the new owner of the team and the boost of new sponsoring partners have created a new era of transformation and expansion for its structure. New equipment like a state-of-the-art simulator and a wide round of hiring of engineers and other professionals have brought an atmosphere of progress to the prestigious English team. Mercedes HPP provides the power units, which have an impeccable track record.
